Julianne Wade is a painter based in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is inspired by the beauty of the landscape - most recently, the colors, textures, and moods of the desert. Julianne earned her MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and during her studies there was part of the Low Residency program at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown. She graduated from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts and Tufts University in 2010. Julianne works as an artist and independent teacher, offering workshops and private lessons to artists of all ages. Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions in galleries and museums.
The figures in my paintings entwine with flora & fauna. Both fragile and strong, they are overgrown by and composed of the landscape.
